DJI Phantom 2 Vision Controller iPad Mini Mod Add Video

In this mod, I will show you how to modify the DJI Stock Controller Phone bracket to accept the iPad Mini. This is a great mod and it is very simple to do. After this mod you can now use the iPad Mini for, and you can also still use your Phone on the same bracket. This mod can be done for almost free, and in most cases, totally free if you have a small screw and nut, and a piece of plastic or metal 1" X 2" Materials needed for this mod: 1 Screw or Bolt 3/4"L X 3/16" Dia 1 Piece of metal or plastic 1/16" Of course you will need the iPad Mini, preferably Cellular if you want to have a map when using "Find My Phantom"

Like what you have done, and I will be making one myself.
I also thought of the problem you mentioned about sun-strike on the screen and will likely get a "hood" from these guys:

I also enjoyed your video with the wifi range extender, what was your new range (in comparison to the stock version?)

The weather here in Western Montana has been terrible for a few weeks, and I haven't had a chance to get out to Range test it yet Todd, but I'm hoping it will double my range or even more. I found one thing that is very critical with any of these Omni directional antennas and that is to have the side of the antenna facing the Phantom. There is almost zero signal pointing it straight on at the Phantom. I am researching another option to increase range on both the controller and the Wifi signal. I will be posting results here later as I test. Thanks for watching. Check back later.
